The notification when your client opens the document
How the Okeh email that tells you a client opened your document works: when it's sent, how often, what doesn't count and how to turn it off.
On this pageWhen it's sent
When your client opens the document, you get an email. So you can call them back while it's still on their mind.
When it's sent
- The first time your client opens it.
- Again if they reopen it at least 24 hours after the last notification.
- At most 3 notifications per document, so your inbox doesn't fill up.
The same opens count as in the statistics: your own visits while logged in, excluded IPs, link previews and bots don't trigger the notification.
What's in the email
- The document title and the client's name.
- The date and time of the open and the type of device.
- On Pro and during the trial, also the approximate location.
- The button to see the opens in the dashboard.
Where it goes
To the Copia nascosta (Bcc) address you set in Impostazioni (Settings), Email tab. If there isn't one, to the account email. It's the same address as the signing notifications.
Turning it on or off
- Open Impostazioni, Avvisi (Notifications) tab.
- Tick or untick Quando qualcuno apre un documento (When someone opens a document).
- Press Salva (Save).
For one document only
On the document page, in the Opzioni (Options) box, turn off Avvisi per questo documento (Alerts for this document). It's also in the ... menu of the document and of the list. For that document you won't get open or expiry alerts anymore, by email or in the app. Signatures always reach you. You can also use the Non avvisarmi più per questo documento (Stop alerts for this document) link at the bottom of the email.
Note
To see it during the trial: send yourself the sample document and open it on your phone without being logged in to the dashboard.
